
Adrian also has considerable experience in the field of musical theatre. He has been MD for several children’s shows and frequently works with singers, preparing them for auditions, as well as rehearsing and performing regularly in theatrical productions.
As an MD he has directed many shows, including most recently ‘The Railway Children’, ‘Seussical’ and ‘Calendar Girls’. Recently he was MD for Patti Boulaye’s solo tour and arranger and MD for a ‘Pirates of Penzance’ video in London.
He has played Keys 2 in the West End production of ‘The Lion King’, whilst his other theatrical work has ranged from ‘My Fair Lady’ and ‘The Wild Party’ to Britten’s ‘The Turn of the Screw’ and Tippett’s ‘The Knot Garden’. He has also played piano in a number of shows at the Royal Opera House, such as ‘Timecode’ and ‘The Wind in the Willows’.
He has created a great many backing tracks and is frequently commissioned by theatre schools to provide music for their variety shows and full-scale musicals. In 2015 he was MD and musical arranger for Classical Reflection’s album ‘The Vow’. Then in March 2017 he was again arranger and MD for their 2nd album, ‘ECHO’, this time providing full orchestral tracks which were recorded at Peterborough Cathedal.
